As the subways become less nerve wracking and more of a relaxing ride, we ventured into the heart of Seoul. At Gwangjang Market we joined the chaos of the crowds, ate endless snacks, and tried all kinds of Seoul street food.

Welcome to Kraken in Korea, hockey has officially gone global. The boys did a great job at their first practice despite not being able to speak the same language as their coaches. They followed the other kids around got the hang of the drills. LET’S GO KRAKEN!
Jet-lagged, overwhelmed, and excited!
Well, we did it. We packed up our lives in Seattle, stuffed them into suitcases,
(and boxes that went on a ship) and landed in Seoul, South Korea.

Aready picking up Korean phrases, discovering snacks, joining sports teams, and living the K-culture. We’re all learning how to navigate the subway without getting lost and figuring out which button on the toilet does not squirt water.
Every day brings something new; food surprises, rooftop pool views, K-drama-worthy moments, and the occasional dance show when words fail us. We’re laughing….A LOT.
Seattle is home, but Seoul is where the story is unfolding.
